Pam Ford
Pam Ford is a primary trained teacher who has gained extensive experience by teaching in the public, catholic and private school systems. In 1986, she completed her teacher training and was awarded a Diploma of Teaching with Distinction. She began teaching at Caringbah Learning Centre in 1991.
For several years, she expanded her experience by focusing on students with learning difficulties. During this time, she completed a Bachelor of Education with Honours. Her thesis researched the diagnostic assessments of students with learning difficulties. In 1996, at the University of New South Wales, Pam completed a Certificate Course in Learning Difficulties with the grade of High Distinction.
Pam purchased Caringbah Learning Centre in 1996 after the previous owner retired. The Centre has continued to grow and various programs have been included to meet the demands of an ever changing education system. These programs are designed by Pam as she draws on her vast knowledge of education. She regularly attends conferences to keep abreast of current educational research and policies.
Pam carefully selects staff according to their qualifications, expertise, experience and their ability to work with students both in primary and secondary grades. She has created a warm, caring and motivating learning environment at the Centre to assist with the addressing of all students’ needs.
