Parents’ recommendations
I just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for your amazing support and the Selective Schools’ Workshop which I have no doubt helped J. get a place at Caringbah High! We are so thrilled and I am forever grateful to you.

Parents of two daughters who both gained Scholarships to Danebank
Thank you for the amazing effort that you have put in for I and J this year. Both girls have grown significantly due to the work that you have completed with them in their time under your tutelage. I and J have both really enjoyed your classes and have learnt a great deal…… Our girls have had an amazing start to their education and we are extremely grateful for the significant part that you have played in the process.

Parents of a Year 6 student, aged 11 years preparing for Selective High School
Since enrolling in Caringbah Learning Centre’s Selective High Schools’ Program, we have noticed a marked improvement in our son’s abilities in such areas as mathematical problem solving, comprehension and Written Expression. He now exhibits a higher level of self-confidence and has commented on numerous occasions that the learning techniques are `fun.’ Surely to make learning `fun’ is a very important and highly sought after quality possessed by Caringbah Learning Centre.

Caringbah Learning Centre is an outstanding tutorial educational program that allows your child’s academics to improve and to be extended onto. Together with its fantastic educational programs and its caring and nurturing environment, my children have gained confidence in numeracy and literacy skills that have seen them improve in all areas that Caringbah Learning Centre covers. I do not hesitate to recommend Caringbah Leaming Centre to any of my family and friends, as I know any child that attends Caringbah Leaming Centre will benefit greatly from their experienced staff and curriculum.
Kind regards,

During the past few years, both of my primary school children have been attending tutoring at Pam Ford’s Caringbah Learning Centre. At first I was seeking a little extra extension work for both children, but over the years the tuition and knowledge provided to them by CLC has not only been invaluable to their successful grades at school, but it has given them great self confidence in their abilities and a positive approach to learning.
I have always found the professionalism of the tutors and support staff at CLC to be of an impeccable standard, working together with our family to structure lesson plans around each of my childrens needs. Not only has CLC provided a high quality of tutoring services for my children, they have also provided excellent specialised programs in areas of Naplan and Selective School Exam Preparations. These programmes have always been very well organised by Pam and her staff, and have provided my children with the tools to tackle these areas with maximum readiness and minimal stress.
Attending Caringbah Learning Centre has been a wonderful experience for our family, my children achieving scholastically being one of the many benefits. I look forward to continuning tutoring at Caringbah Learning Centre throughout my children’s high school years and I wish to thank Pam and her wonderful staff for all their effort and hard work.

Caringbah Learning Centre was recommended to me when I was looking for tutoring options. I currently have two children attending Caringbah Learning Centre. One child is being tutored in English and the other child in both English and Maths.
The children were both professionally assessed and an individual programme was put in place for each child.
Pam and her staff are professional, knowledgeable and care about the children they are working with. The staff are approachable and discuss with you regularly how your child is progressing and what they have been working on together.
There has been a measureable improvement in both of the children’s school work and their self- confidence since attending Caringbah Learning Centre.
I couldn’t be happier with the results and progress of my children. I willingly recommend Caringbah Leaning Centre to anyone who has a need for extra curriculum help and guidance.

Our two sons have always struggled with reading and spelling.
Over the years we have tried different methods to try and bring them up to an age appropriate level. A friend recommended your centre to us and we have not looked back since.
We have been extremely pleased with our experience at the centre.
My eldest son who is in year nine has been attending since August 2010 and his younger brother who is in year six started in February 2012.
The staff are friendly and caring, and my children enjoy going and really make the most of their lessons.
We are thrilled with how well it has gone and it is a delight to see their progress and enthusiasm.
It is a real credit to your teaching methods and we have nothing but praise when we recommend your centre to others.
Cheers,
Janelle
As a parent I can highly recommend Caringbah Learning Centre. My son currently attends the Centre. Over the past years, he has progressed from a student who lacked confidence to one who received an academic award for his results in the recent School Certificate.
The teachers at the Centre take personal interest in each of their students and encourage them to perform and achieve to their maximum potential. This I feel is achieved by the one-to-one tuition and the individual students having the confidence to ask questions and seek help from their teacher.
For parents there is constant feedback every week from the staff about your child’s progress. Parents are also encouraged to give feedback about difficulties with homework or general questions they have about school.
Caringbah Learning Centre is a centre of excellence in regards to private tuition. I highly recommend the centre to any parent considering after school education.

18 year old University Student
Dear Pam,
Thank you so much for all your help and support over the years. I am so grateful that my friend’s mother recommended your Centre to my parents, being a teacher she understood that I was not dumb – I just needed to learn in a different method.
Year 4 was when I first started coming. I could hardly read and I was too ashamed to write because of my bad spelling. Your patience and support showed me how to organise my thoughts and I began to write. I thought I was dumb because I couldn’t do comprehension, essays or extended passages. I would burst into tears at school because I just found them impossible to do. You taught me ways of answering or mastering these and even surprised my schoolteachers and I moved from the bottom of the class.
Your help through my high school years has allowed me to follow my dreams. I always, from a young age, have been interested in the environment and wanted to study earth and environmental science at University, and now I am! The skills you have taught me are in how to study, how to research and how to write assignments. I enjoy doing assignments as I know what they are asking and I know how to answer them with the information that they want. I usually get high marks for my assignments.
If someone had told me that I would be going to University in Year 4, I would not have believed them. You have taught me that being dyslexic is not the end of the world. You showed me how to organise my schoolwork and I will carry these skills through University.
I really hope that others who are struggling with their schoolwork find out about your centre before they give up their dreams. If I can get there so can they with your help in learning in a different way.
I have been asked to show others how to study and organise their work but the real teachers are the ones at the Centre who have studied how to help others with special needs. If I had one message to give others it would be please do not give up, get help. There may be hard work ahead but it is truly worth it. Everyone can learn in their own special way and with the help from the wonderful, experienced teachers at Caringbah Learning Centre.
Best wishes,
Katie S.
To whom it may concern,
I am the mother of a 12 year old who currently attends Caringbah Learning Centre. My daughter was assessed as profoundly gifted at age 7, but has her foibles, as do we all, and so it was decided on the recommendation of a friend that she attend CLC for a short period of time to increase her chances of success in the scholarship exams for entry into Year 7.
Well, that was over two years ago, and although we live in Chippendale, we still come down for her weekly ‘workout’. Her attendance is entirely voluntary. She would very likely still be sailing through High School without the input from CLC, but she loves it in its own right. Her comment after her first session remains with me: “Wow, that was worth three months of school! Well – perhaps two!”
What does she get from it? I suspect a number of things. Sometimes she has a question to ask, or brings something problematic with her from her school. Sometimes she has pursued interests not necessarily covered within the confines of the standard school curriculum. She has had organisational advice, and has had regular access to additional adults outside the family, who have I believe fulfilled an important role as mentors to her.
Our trips to CLC cannot last forever, but I feel sure that when my child has finally had enough, they will be remembered with great fondness and gratitude.
